You can learn songs more easily when the songs are synchronized with the lyrics. Audio synchronization technologies for images and texts In Keitaide-Music, as shown in the figure, the data structure is constructed with the header and multiple elements, enabling the structure to hold still images and text as well as music and audio. Sanyo Electronics has defined kdmsync, an XML-based synchronized information markup language, so that synchronized playback and providing music (audio), images, and texts are achieved relatively easily on mobile phones. Sanyo has also provided an authoring tool, which supports creating synchronized contents using kdmsync, for the convenience of content creators. It is possible to display images and character strings in milliseconds, based on the playback time positions of music (audio), when the devices analyze and execute the synchronization information. It is also possible to provide multiple synchronization information inside the same contents, thus allowing users to dynamically switch the contents during playback. As shown in the figure, it is possible to combine synchronization information for displaying English sentences and Japanese translations in English conversation programs. In music, the synchronization information for displaying lyrics and advertisements/introductions is combined. The synchronization information creation function of this authoring tool enables you to record the synchronization timing. If you execute this function and set a music (audio) data file, a still image data file, and a text file containing synchronized strings, the music data is automatically played. Then you can simply click the candidates on the lists of the character strings and images to be displayed as the playback time passes, thus recording the synchronization timing. The synchronized content is then completed by setting the display positions for each character string and image. The tool has a preview function, which enables confirming how the content is displayed on the screen of the mobile phone, which will be the playback terminal.
